Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
What types of lessons do you offer?
Mike Harbour Golf offers private instruction opportunities, group golf lessons, golf schools and on course playing lessons.
Where do you offer lessons?
Mike Harbour predominantly teaches during the spring and summer months at Mulligan’s Island located in Providence, RI. For students who are commuting from outside of Rhode Island, Mulligan’s Island is located only minutes from T.F. Green Airport.
During the fall and winter months, Mike teaches at Desert Willow Golf Resort located in southern California. Desert Willow is conveniently located near Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix.
Do you offer video analysis of my golf lesson?
Yes. Video analysis is an important component of virtually all Mike Harbour Golf lessons. Mike uses golf video analysis not only to analyze your swing, but also uses it as a tool to help explain and apply your personalized Mike Harbour Golf instruction to your practice sessions.
How long have you been teaching?
Mike Harbour has been teaching students for over 25 years. Mike estimates that in his quarter of century of teaching recreational, amateurs and professional golfers that he has given over 40,000 lessons.
What should I do if there is inclement weather and I have a lesson scheduled?
You should always call Mike Harbour Golf at 401.219.0139.
Since Mulligan’s Island has both heated and covered hitting bays, and current conditions appear to be safe for students and instructors, most private and golf instruction can still be conducted in most conditions.
Golf schools and on course instruction will be predicated not only current weather, but also the student(s) tolerance for less than ideal instruction and playing conditions.
Do you use golf training aids?
Sometimes. Each student is unique, and, therefore, each lesson is customized to best meet the needs of every student. Although I do not use or recommend many golf training aids, I do regularly recommend the following golf training aids: the Orange Whip, and the Putting Arc and the Swingyde.
